new iOS 7 to its customers. BlackBerry was not too late and it released its new
OS Blackberry 10.2 with the Z30, while Nokia followed all over and brought up the Amber update for all its existing Lumia devices
powered by the Windows phone OS. Let’s throw some light on the new features
that have been provided in every operating system.
Android 4.4 Kitkat
The new version of Android is set to make a public
appearance later this month, or earlier coming month with Google Nexus 5.
·
The update has been prepared carefully so that
all devices, even with lower hardware specs, can be easily upgraded. This is
something which lacked with Microsoft in the launch of Windows Phone 8 OS, and
made the existing Windows phone customers highly disappointed with the company.
·
The new OS would provide users with features
like customization of the notification bar by adding skins, or changing the
look of the icons.
·
It would
also feature revised versions of Hangouts, Gmail, and other native Google apps.
Apple iOS 7
·
In the wordings of Apple, this has by far been
the most revolutionary update in the history of the company.
·
The new OS has completely redefined user
interface, which features enhanced keyboard, and user friendly apps.
·
Apart from local changes, the update also
features several built in native apps
from Apple like iTunes Radio, Control Center, Air Drop, etc.
·
The update also brings improved multitasking
capabilities to iPhone, which not only helps in increased battery life, but
also provides for faster app switching.
Blackberry OS 10.2
·
The new update from BlackBerry is being shipped
with its new flagship device Z30.
·
The update includes a unique “Priority Hub”
which features all your emails, social media posts, voice messages, and other
stuff in a single application.
·
Apart from several performance improvements,
there are signs of changes in the native keyboard app too.
Nokia Lumia Amber
·
Improved Camera Application: Lumia devices are
quite famous for their camera capabilities owing to the fact that one of them
features a giant 41 MP sensor. The new camera app under Amber allows for better
low light photos, and enhanced noise reductions. It also brings a burst shot to
all those devices which lacked this functionality previously.
·
Nokia Glance: The update also brings the popular
Glance feature back to the Lumia devices. With this feature, users can now
easily view the current time, date, along with other details like missed calls
or messages alerts without unlocking the phone. The details appear with a grayish
color on black screen with different modes for day and night.
